All images are either original work or public domain. 

Public domain image are old art that has entered the public domain in the traditional sense. They are from the the first decades of the 20th century or earlier, so the copyright has expired. 

"CCO" images - by which modern artists grant various levels of free use similar to public domain - are not used. It has become difficult to sort the actual human-made art from AI-generated images
